Along with the statewide challenge, many communities are sponsoring a local challenge. Find details below about participating organizations and local challenges.

Check with your local competition organizers listed below for special discounts and incentives.

In Billings, our friends at Riverstone Health, the Billings/Yellowstone County Metropolitan Planning Organization and a whole lot of  business sponsors are inviting Yellowstone County residents to join them for their 2019 Billings Commuter Challenge . They will be using the BWMT website and so for those of you from Billings who have done the statewide challenge in the past, it will connect you to our site. They will be having a great Billings Commuter Challenge Kickoff Party at CTA Architects on May 31 from 5 -7. Bike Walk Montana will be there as well and we look forward to visiting with our Billings members. There will be free food, drinks, live music, slow bike races, and family friendly activities.

Missoula In Motion’s Commuter Challenge was May 5 -18 and we encourage all Missoula area commuters to utilize their state of the art Travel Options Program. We encourage all of you to experience their popular Sunday Streets Missoula  June 9th and September 15th and the Missoula Walk and Roll September 15-21 which includes Bikeapalooza on September 15, the largest group ride in Missoula and probably the state!

In Bozeman, local riders can join our partners from The Bozeman Commuter Project  and  The Western Transportation Institute for the 8th annual Bozeman Commuter Challenge and log your bike, walk, bus, and carpool commutes. Their home page provides all sort of year round commuting options including finding the best routes for walking or biking, viewing Streamline routes and schedules, and finding carpool partners to save money, reducing your carbon footprint, and to get moving during your commute. The amazing Gallatin Valley Bike Club also sponsors Bike Week Bozeman June 3-7 with all sorts of food and drink stops to help fuel your commuting passion. They need volunteers too!
